Tee Time Template Overview
You can create templates for all your tee sheets from the Tee Sheet Setup page.
You can create an unlimited number of templates. You can also clone existing templates to make subtle changes so you don't have to start from scratch each time.
The first step in creating a template is to give it a name and add a description for context.
Then, add blocks of tee times to your template.. You can choose between Regular Tee Times, Ballot Draw Tee Times, Shotgun Events, or Maintenance blocks. You can also configure crossovers, back nine starts, and various other combinations using multiple tracks on a template.
The videos on this page will walk you through the different options and ways of setting up templates.
Template Block Configuration
Each template block has settings that determine the start and end time, tee time interval, number of players and guests allowed, start hole, and transition hole (turn to the back nine), and booking options.
This video outlines template block configurations options.
Block Booking Restrictions
You can restrict booking of all or some tee times on a block to specific golfers based on category or tag.
Tags work as a subset of a golfer category. For example, you may have tee times on Tuesday afternoon designated for Ladies Night golfers. You can use a tag restriction on a template block to ensure that only golfers assigned the Ladies Night tag are able to book (or be added) to those tee times.
The User Category Restriction on template blocks is designed to override global restrictions rules assigned to membership categories. For example, a club may want to designate one tee time per hour for public daily fee golfers.
This video outlines template block configurations options.
Tee Time Block Status Options
Tee times created on a block will be available for booking or balloting by default. You can lock or block times using the tee times status options configurations.
Blocked Tee Times are not bookable by golfers and are not visibly to golfers on the tee sheet website. A blocked tee time might be used as a starter time or for maintenance gaps.
Locked Tee Times are not bookable by golfers, but are visible on the tee sheet website. A locked tee time might be used to hold places for a tournament.
This video shows how to lock and block tee times.
Ballot Draw Block Settings
Ballot draw blocks have specific settings that control certain variables of the lottery draw. You can set the opening and closing dates and times and the applicable ballot result history.
Connecting Ballot Blocks
A template can have multiple blocks and you can mix and match between the different types of blocks. Ballot blocks have some important behaviours to be aware of. Each block is an individual lottery draw by default.
You can connect ballot blocks together to combine them into one draw.
Shotgun Block Settings
Shotgun blocks can be configured as first come, first served events or as ballot draw events. You can also set the maximum number of players and the starting hole and fill direction.
