Green Fee Pricing
Booking Options and Player Types

The price of a green fee in the Club Unity tee sheet is controlled by two variables; Player Type and Booking Option.

Player Types - A player type identifies the golfer and how much they are expected to pay for a green fee based on the booking option selected for a tee time. Player types are assigned to golfers by their category. The price for player types is configured on each booking option. The player type can be changed manually on the tee sheet for any golfer.

Booking Options - A booking option is the item a golfer or shop staff member chooses when reserving a tee time. Some clubs will have one booking option (an 18 hole round of golf) whereas others may have 18 hole options for weekdays and weekend, 9 hole options, and twilight options.

A booking option contains prices which will be automatically assigned to each player type. Booking options can be changed manually on the tee sheet by a staff member for any tee time.

You will find Player Types and Booking Options on the Golf > Green Fee Pricing page.

Player Type

Player Types represent the various golfers that can book tee times. Each player type can have a unique price for each booking option. The price will be automatically applied by the tee sheet depending on the configuration of the booking option.

Player types should have unique names that clearly describe the type of golfer the player type represents.

The sorting rank is used to order the list of all player types. The lower the number in sorting rank, the closer to the top of the list the player type will appear.

Player Types are assigned to golfers according to their category. A player type can be assigned to more than one category. Each category will have a player type and a guest player type

In this example, the Shareholder category has a player type of "Member" and a guest player type of "Guest of Member." Green fee prices will automatically be assigned to members and their guests based on the configuration of the booking option selected by the member.

You can use the same player type for both fields. For example, a "Public" category may have the same priced green fees for the booking player and the booking player's guests. So a "public golfer" player type could be used in each field, as an example.

Booking Options

Booking Options represent the green fee products you offer for a particular tee time. Your course might have several booking options or it may have just one.

The display name for the booking option will be visible to golfers when they make a booking and in their confirmation communications.

The internal name will be shown to staff and admins using the back end of the tee sheet. This is also the name that will be used throughout reports.

Indicate whether or not the booking option is for 18 or 9 hole rounds.

Each booking option has a default price. Each booking option can be configured to adjust the price based on the player type. For example, a $100 green fee can be adjusted to $0 for Member and $50 for Guest of Member player types.
